Here in a little bit, I’m headed on a 9 hour drive to InvaderCON with my fiancé, who also happens to be the owner of FuckYeahJhonenVasquez.

If you don’t know what InvaderCON is:

InvaderCON is a fan convention organized by Green Mustard Entertainment, Inc. designed to be a 10th anniversarycelebration for the popular cartoon Invader ZIM.  The show, which initially ran on Nickelodeon from 2001-2003, is still popular with fans to this day.  Even though production ceased over seven years ago, companies still produce new merchandise for the show and fans continue to rave about the artistic merits of the series.  Invader ZIM has is a phenomenon that evolved into more than “just another kid’s cartoon.”

The event will take place March 26th & 27th at the Marriott Century Center in Atlanta, Georgia.  It will feature guests who worked on the production of the Invader ZIM series and will also include events themed around the show and characters.

I might be uploading some pictures and things while I’m there. I plan on taking the good camera for once, so expect some good stuff.  

I will also be helping do some video for the convention. Nothing too elaborate, but enough to grab a feel for what goes on in the nether-regions of a giant nerd festival.
